Where were you watching? In the basement with Kamala.......asking for a friend!

A lively debate.

At least so far it has been a decent civil debate

That's the analogy I was looking for!

Thank you 💯👍

Vance is missing so many things he could have mentioned such as Waltz and his plan to allow youngsters to get sex changes in his state above parents saying no!!

Expand full comment

I did not see or hear an opportunity to get that in, no doubt moderators avoided that area.

Expand full comment

Exactly.

Expand full comment

Much better run than the presidential debate. Vance did a good job.

Expand full comment

It seems to have been fair for a change. Vance has not been as honed in as I thought he would be, but doing well.

Expand full comment

Vance is so sharp, spot on, focused, delivering statistic and facts with precision...all the while being respectful. So proud that he will be the next VP.

Expand full comment

Vance is a proven leader showing Walz it's okay to actually answer the question, not side step. Explain some time why you were in China. "Can you explain the discrepancy."

Expand full comment

Well except for the "moderators" spoon feeding Walz.

Expand full comment

JD is doing a superb job. He shows his integrity and calm. Waltz is nervous and lying about trump. No surprise there!

From Charlie Kirk's X account: "Under Gov. Tim Walz's watch, at least eight babies were born alive during botched abortions. All eight of them died. None of them received any care attempting to save their lives, and most of them didn't receive basic comfort care either. They were treated like garbage, and then thrown away.

We know this is true, because until 2023 Minnesota, despite not punishing the neglect of born-alive infants, at least required such failed abortions to be reported.

For Walz, it wasn't the dead babies that were a problem. It was the "reporting" part. So, Walz had the law changed to eliminate any reporting requirement for botched abortions, and make it so doctors and nurses were no longer required to provide care to born-alive infants."

I do wish when Walz was nearly sobbing during the debate last night regarding women needing to have the right to make decisions about their "own" bodies that JD Vance would have brought up this fact regarding 8 babies being put to death and allowed no care after birth only to be left to die on the operating table, all on Walz's watch.

Expand full comment

They can call it what they want but it is not only medical malpractice but should be considered murder. 😢

Expand full comment

The part of the dead babies walz didn’t see anything wrong with it. This is a person the democrats stand with. It’s egregious!

Expand full comment

Good debate thus far, but would love to see the verbiage JD referred to in MN’s abortion bill that allows a child born in a botched abortion to die. I can’t seem to find it. Anyone?

Expand full comment

Doesn’t require doc to attend to aborted child if born alive…so sad and disgusting — notice Walz did not deny he supports this.

Expand full comment

It was awkward to see him just stand there. He's trained enough to avoid a flush face. I know I don't do that.

Expand full comment

I'm watching the debate with LOUDER WITH CROWDER. They produced a copy of the law and it was changed from saving the child to giving the child "comfort care" or as Joshua Firestine called it, HOSPICE.

Expand full comment

There is no longer a reporting requirement when an abortion doesn’t result in a death. You also can do an abortion via telehealth!

Required Policies: Providers are no longer required to provide descriptions of the fetus, information on “fetal pain,” or a list of agencies offering alternatives to abortion services, or to wait 24 hours before providing an abortion. Every Minnesotan retains the fundamental right to make autonomous decisions about their reproductive health, and facilities must ensure that they provide the highest standard of care when they provide reproductive health care services. (Health and Human Services Omnibus Bill.)

Reporting Requirements: Minnesota law now requires providers to make more limited reports regarding the provision of reproductive health care services. The new, abbreviated reproductive health-related reporting requirements include:

The number of abortions performed by each physician in the previous calendar year,

The physician’s medical specialty,

Whether the abortion was performed via telehealth or in a health care facility,

The procedure used,

The period of gestation of the fetus,

The age of the patient, and

Any complications.

(Minn. Stat. § 145.4131, subd. 1.)

The death of a fetus of 20 weeks or more gestation, not including abortions, is still required to be reported to the Commissioner from the Minnesota Department of Health. The annual reporting deadline changed from April 1 to September 30, and all abortions performed in the previous calendar year must now be reported by September 30. (Minn. Stat. § 145.4131, subd.

Walz is a liar.

Expand full comment

I couldn't find it either. But, it was former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam that stated after a botched abortion with a live birth, "the child would be laid aside and made comfortable until the mother decided it's fate." That's plain murder

Expand full comment

I heard him say that during an interview several years ago. Still makes me sick

Expand full comment

Isn't is very revealing that EVERYONE FOR ABORTION has already been born….?

Expand full comment

Was it a version of the "Born alive Infants Protection Act" (?)--that was the name of a federal bill which Dems voted down. It would have required doctors to give medical care to babies that survive a botched abortion. Sounds like the same kind of bill on a state level.

CBS helpfully prompting Walz & allowing his lies… Vance missing opps to crush “knucklehead” Walz as he attacks Trump w/each question.

When Vance talked about illegal immigrants in Springfield, they fat checked him by stating that they were legal. He had to interrupt them to clarify that they came here illegally and the Harrison administration left them in and gave them legal status even though they had come illegally... when he did this, they then cut his mic.

Expand full comment

Yes. But Vance clearly, calmly and succinctly shut moderators down and held the upper hand. I call that Moderators 0, Vance 1! It didn't happen again. Moderators took a lickin' and quit tickin'

Expand full comment

Did we watch the same debate? There most certainly was!

Expand full comment

I managed to watch half. Just couldn’t take anymore. Vance was self controlled, eloquent at times, spoke with honesty and “ knew his onions”. I already liked him but now I have confidence in his ability to work for the people. Walz was defensive, predictably blaming Trump for every issue while not giving any solid ideas. I turned in early. Slept well. Thank you President Trump for picking a wonderful VP for the USA!

Expand full comment

I’m actually surprised at how polite they have been. Don’t get me wrong. I’m glad. I didn’t like all the lying and twisting of the truth. But I believe Walz is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Expand full comment

Think both are making good points but Vance seems more accurate & creative in answers more often

Expand full comment

JD is being very presidential and answering the questions, Waltz is only blaming Trump doesn't have an answer.

Expand full comment

Both are doing a good job.. Vance a little better answering directly and not diffusing the answer. Walz has said lots of lies that haven't been caught. Glad JD caught them in fact checking, they were getting annoying.

We’re in good hands with JD alongside president Trump!

JD is KILLING it! Walz lost any confidence after the China question

Expand full comment

Well then they should repost that part.

Expand full comment

It seems to me that Vance has directly answered the questions and Walz is stuck on “Orange Man Bad”. He has not answered many of the questions — has obfuscated and then tried to blame Trump. CBS, in spite of their “rules” that say they won’t fact-check, have been fact-checking and inserting their opinions. That’s not the deal but we all expected that or worse. Walz is so willing to lie — I think Vance is having to pick and choose which lie he addresses in the limited one minute he has to rebut.

Expand full comment

JD needs to put Tampon Tim in the weeds and

Finish this.

Expand full comment

Vance is wiping the floor with walz

Expand full comment

These debates settle very little. My personal opinion is that Vance not only answered more effectively but the positions he defended are better. I would not vote for the Harris-Walz ticket under any reasonable circumstances. I have already made up my mind. But I don’t think that truly undecided voters will make their decision based on debate performances.

"Moderators" say the migrants are "legal", Vance has to interupt the "moderators" to point out that migrants come illegally and then are given legal status. Then a few questions later they are all outraged that he says Harris is "letting millions of people in". What else do you call it when people come in illegally and you let them in and then give them legal status?

I think the wrong folks are running for president.

Walz taking notes tells me that he is going to plagiarize Trump’s economic plans. Vance playing it cool but answers questions. He comes across better for democrats than his word salad running mate. Trust Walz as far as I can throw him. Minnesota is not the utopia he wants us think.
