Supreme Court intervenes
Last night, the Supreme Court temporarily blocked a lower court’s ruling that the Trump Administration had to end its 90-day freeze on foreign aid and pay $2 billion to USAID contractors by midnight Wednesday. In a stunning act of judicial hubris, a three-judge panel of the DC Appeals Court not only upheld the judge but said the ruling could not be appealed to the full court. The White House went over their heads straight to the Supreme Court, which backed Trump’s right to wield executive power.
This article is an interesting speculation on why Chief Justice Roberts accepted this appeal that he normally would’ve put through the full appeals process, and how it might indicate that like many of us, he’s fed up with unelected lower court judges ignoring the Constitution and acting as if executive powers rest with them and not the President.

New Pentagon memo
Wednesday, the Pentagon put out a memo ordering the removal of all transgender and gender dysphoric service members from the military, although they can apply for exemptions on a case-by-case basis. In keeping with the reinstatement of the military’s traditional mission, the memo says that having a history or symptoms of gender dysphoria is “incompatible with the high mental and physical standards necessary for military service.” More at the link:
The Epstein List
Today could be the day that Hollywood and political elites have dreaded for years: the day the client list of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is released. Attorney General Pam Bondi told Jesse Watters on Fox News last night that names, flight logs to his private island and other information could be released as soon as Thursday, or at least a partial list.
Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who has long pushed for the Epstein files to be released, told Fox News Digital, “For me, this is not about the celebrity. And I know that there are many people that want to see who all flew on his planes and guested at his Caribbean Island. But let's break these human trafficking rings apart. Let's get these people apprehended. Let's get them prosecuted. Let's get them jailed. Let's put an end to this and save lives."
Trump resumes enforcement of 1940 Immigration Law
President Trump is restarting enforcement of a 1940 law that requires migrants to register their names and fingerprints with federal agencies or face up to six months in prison, which could accelerate their deportation and bar their legalization. With limited exceptions, all aliens over 14 who have been in the US for more than 30 days and who were not fingerprinted or registered when applying for a visa must apply for registration and fingerprinting. This will help them be easily found by ICE, if necessary.
That story reports that “pro-migration activists are aghast” and numerous lawsuits will likely slow down enforcement. But Art Arthur, a former immigration judge who works with the Center for Immigration Studies, says there’s nothing they can do: it’s the law. It has been since 1940, it’s just that nobody’s bothered to enforce it recently, despite Presidents taking a solemn oath to enforce the laws, even the ones they don’t personally like.
Trump’s Gold Card
Trump also riled up leftists by proposing the creation of a “gold card” that would allow wealthy foreigners to purchase a visa that includes a pathway to citizenship for $5 million.
Despite claims that it’s elitist, 40 other nations have similar programs. Even for the non-wealthy, other nations require that immigrants prove they won’t be a burden on the system (For instance, Panama famously welcomes American expat retirees with lots of perks and benefits, but only those who can prove they have a certain level of monthly guaranteed income.)
It was long understood that the US, like other nations, prioritized immigrants who would contribute to the economy in some way. It was the Immigration Act of 1990, introduced by Ted Kennedy, that replaced that system with a lottery to increase immigration from “low-admittance,” “underrepresented countries.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_Act_of_1990
Trump’s idea wouldn’t change that, but it would make it easier for wealthy foreigners who would bring investment and jobs to the US to come here. It wouldn’t increase immigration, since it’s expected there would be fewer people applying for it than are already on waiting lists. And at $5 million per card, if one million people applied, as expected, it would raise $5 trillion to help pay down the national debt or reduce taxes. Or they could share it with taxpayers, and we could all get gold cards.
Our Asteroids Are Saved
After two months of observations, scientists say the asteroid that was given up to a 3% chance of striking Earth in 2032 has now been deemed no longer a threat.

So liberals can go back to attacking Elon Musk without having to worry about begging him to save the planet…for now, at least.
Swalwell in the news…again
Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who was booted off the House Intelligence Committee after allegedly having a romantic relationship with a Chinese spy, seems to think that Elon Musk is a security risk. But if you want to learn some government secrets, a much faster way might be to take Swalwell to a party with an open bar.
Conservative journalist Nick Sortor reports that Swalwell was dining at the Four Seasons steakhouse in DC Monday night (we definitely pay these people too much) with a table full of alleged lobbyists he’d just met, and didn’t realize Sortor was sitting at the next table and could hear everything he said. Sortor claims a drunken Swalwell held forth for 90 minutes, blabbing about intimate details of his job, attending Capitol Hill orgies, asking for help cheating on his wife, and revealing how he’d abused his power on the House Intel Committee by pushing to subpoena Melania Trump because she’s “hot.”
Sortor says he recorded the whole thing on audio, and more is to come. In the meantime, he tweeted, “THIS GUY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE. He CANNOT keep his freaking mouth shut.”
He’s right: Eric Swalwell doesn’t belong on the Homeland Security Committee any more than he belongs near anything related to intelligence.
Tulsi takes charge
Investigative journalist Christopher Rufo exposed the NSA staffers who were using a government communications platform to discuss their sex kinks, transgender surgery and efforts to undermine new NSA Director Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard gave her agency until Friday to identify them, but apparently, it didn’t take that long. She told Fox News’ Jesse Watters that she’s already ordered over 100 staffers to be fired and have their security clearances revoked. But she said that what we’ve heard so far about their activities is “just barely scratching the surface.”
As if to prove that, Rufo released another bombshell report. A longtime NSA staffer-turned-whistleblower revealed how the agency has been infiltrated by trans activists who are pushing Marxist politics and jeopardizing national security. The source said, “It was like a cult that was hellbent on pushing gender ideology. It’s going to get people killed in the field.”
The source went on: “There is a very small number of them, but they wield an enormous amount of power. And outside of the sick stuff, you also see a prevalent Marxist philosophy going on with these people in their chat rooms. They hate capitalism. They hate Christians. They’re always espousing socialist and Marxist beliefs.” When anyone dared speak up to say the NSA’s mission was to defend America, “they just got hammered. They would just start coming out with 'transphobe' and 'homophobe' right away or calling you a 'racist.' And that’s why a lot of folks are still hesitant to say anything, because you still have people at these agencies in those key spots. It infected everything.” The source said it's “a counterintelligence risk” but “it’s being normalized and it’s being praised.”
Well, sunshine is said to be the best disinfectant, but the best way to get rid of an infestation is to call in an exterminator. That’s going to be Tulsi’s #1 job.
A foreign government welcomes the investigation of USAID spending
Meanwhile, Democrats and legacy media outlets might be enraged that DOGE is exposing waste, fraud and abuse, but some nations are happy to see it at last. The Foreign Ministry of Mali released a statement welcoming the investigation of USAID spending and suggesting that some of their “foreign aid” grants actually funded terrorist activities of which Mali and other nations were victims.
https://instapundit.com/705026/
But that’s apparently just the tip of the iceberg of what USAID funded, and not just leftist propaganda but some truly evil stuff. Another example: Gregg Roman, executive director of the Middle East Forum think tank, says his group has traced how a group that got $2 billion from USAID gave $125,000 to Sudan’s Islamic Relief Agency, which is a designated affiliate of al-Qaeda, the terrorist organization behind the 9/11 attacks.
https://www.dailysignal.com/2025/02/25/house-doge-panel-examine-how-foreign-aid-spreads-woke-agenda/
That link has more on a House DOGE hearing into how USAID funds are used to promote a radical left/LGBTQ agenda around the world, in nations where it’s anathema to their culture and values, and actually makes the locals hate America by making us synonymous with values they reject.
Quote of the Day!
During the first Trump Cabinet meeting, Elon Musk said the email he sent requiring federal workers to list five things they did last week was being described by the media as a performance review. He said, “But actually, it was a pulse check review. ‘Do you have a pulse?’ And if you have a pulse and two neurons, you could reply to an email.” He said that’s “not a high bar.”
This not only was helpful in identifying lazy, useless and uncooperative federal workers, but also people who might be getting a paycheck that someone is cashing, but they are dead or don’t really even exist so they couldn’t answer an email. Yes, Musk said we appear to have fictional workers on the government's payroll. As Joe Biden would say, “No joke.” That’s something DOGE is actually looking into.
A Special Message from Mike Huckabee’s Huck PAC: In 2025-26 we are continuing our work of supporting President Trump and his agenda, by helping elect Republicans from the State House to the halls of Congress. In 2024, we gave $2 million to Republican candidates, and helped contact over 6 million voters. To help us accomplish these things again, each month we have a set budget to raise, and this month we are $3,386 short of our goal.

Fake News Thursday!
A video that went viral of Donald Trump Jr. allegedly criticizing Ukraine and saying, “If anything, the US should have been sending weapons to Russia,” was exposed as an AI-generated fake. That didn’t stop plenty of liberals from sharing it, including the Democratic National Committee. Ironically, the DNC posted the fake clip as part of their “FactPost” fact-checking account on X.
https://legalinsurrection.com/2025/02/dnc-shares-fake-clip-of-donald-trump-jr-criticizing-ukraine/
When called on it, the DNC didn’t apologize or take responsibility. Instead, a spokesperson said, “The Republican disinformation machine is powerful, but we believe a stronger weapon is giving people the facts about how Trump and his administration are screwing over the American people.”
They’re willing to give us the facts to fight disinformation, even if it takes fake video and false quotes to do it! They're American heroes, really.
Leftist filmmaker makes Pro-Life Argument
Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore offered up an unusual argument against Trump’s deportation of illegal aliens. Writing on Substack, Moore accused ICE of allegedly deporting children who might have one day grown up to cure cancer or prevent an asteroid from hitting us. He cited as an example the out-of-wedlock Syrian child who grew up to be Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
If that argument seems familiar, it’s because Moore is (probably unknowingly) using the same argument that pro-life activists make against abortion. The difference is that a child in the womb really does have unknown and unlimited potential, while ICE is concentrating on deporting drug dealers, murderers, rapists, child molesters and other criminals who came to America illegally. Their path in life is pretty much chosen by now.
But it is good to hear that he believes every baby is a precious gift that should be cherished and nurtured. We look forward to seeing him next year at the March For Life.
Mysterious Celebrity Deaths: Gene Hackman and wife; Michelle Trachtenberg
By “Huckabee” pop culture guru Pat Reeder (http://www.hollywoodhifi.com)
Yesterday brought shocking news of the mysterious deaths of three celebrities. First, it was reported that actress Michelle Trachtenberg had died at 39. A former child actress and star of the 1996 movie “Harriet the Spy,” Trachtenberg had many roles, most prominently on “All My Children,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl.”
Police got a report of a woman suffering cardiac arrest at a New York apartment complex. EMTs found Trachtenberg unresponsive and pronounced her dead. She had recently undergone a liver transplant. Friends said she’d appeared gaunt and exhausted, and it’s possible her body rejected the organ. Her death was ruled due to natural causes.
Later, it was reported that two-time Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, 95; his wife, Betsy Arakawa (a classical pianist and businesswoman), 64; and their dog had all been found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Police say they found no signs of foul play, but an investigation is ongoing at this writing.
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/oscar-winning-actor-gene-hackman-wife-found-dead-santa-fe-home
Hackman was one of the most revered and versatile actors of the 20th century, earning a Best Actor Oscar for “The French Connection” and Best Supporting Actor for “Unforgiven” (one of my top five favorite movies.) He was equally adept at intense dramatic roles and comedy parts like Lex Luthor in the Christopher Reeve “Superman” movies and the blind man in “Young Frankenstein.” Some of his most famous films include “Bonnie and Clyde,” “Mississippi Burning,” “The Firm,” “The Poseidon Adventure,” “The Birdcage” and “The Conversation.” He retired in 2008 and devoted himself to painting and writing his memoirs. Also worth note: He dropped out of school at 16 and lied about his age to join the US Marines, where he served 4-1/2 years as a field radio operator. RIP to them all…
About Jake Tapper’s ORIGINAL SIN: he covered up and is cashing in
As they say, write what you know.
That’s just what CNN personality (as opposed to journalist) Jake Tapper did, as co-writer with Axios reporter Alex Thompson of the upcoming book “ORIGINAL SIN: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.” The irony weighs heavy, and so does the disgust: Tapper knows all about this cover-up because he actively participated in it, for years.
In other words, he’s one of the original sinners. And now he’s attempting to cash in. The book comes out May 20.
If you got whiplash from the WASHINGTON POST announcing that they were adopting a pro-liberty, pro-America stance on their opinion page, you’ll get an even more painful case of it from this. It’s going to be a great season for chiropractors.
We’re talking here about the Tapper side of the writing team, not necessarily the Thompson. As Debra Heine writes for AMERICAN GREATNESS, “While Thompson was one of the few legacy media journalists who questioned Biden’s mental acuity well before his disastrous debate, Tapper ignored the elephant in the room for years, insisting in 2020 that Biden’s chronic incoherence was just a ‘stutter.’”
Recall that in the weeks before the debate, which was co-moderated by Tapper, it was so obvious President Biden wasn’t up to it --- that he would crash and burn spectacularly in a debate with Trump --- that we seriously doubted it would even happen, saying the ONLY reason his party would dare trot him out onstage with Trump was to set him up for that very fate, to make him give up his campaign and allow them to put in a substitute who might have at least a chance of winning. (That scenario seems even more likely in retrospect.) It was clear long before that debate, at least to anyone who wasn’t in denial or being gaslit, that Biden wasn’t up for another four years as President. He’d be lucky to get through another four weeks as a candidate.
The big mystery to us: Why didn’t Thompson just write this book solo? He would’ve had some credibility and could’ve devoted at least one whole chapter to Tapper and CNN, who are Exhibit A when it comes to the media’s dishonesty about Biden’s cognitive decline. Instead, in a confounding twist, Tapper has somehow managed to switch sides and hitch his wagon to Thompson’s star to be a part of this project. We would love to know the backstory of how this came to be.
As the story goes, it was the day after Biden lost the election that these two were inspired to write the book. Tapper said in a statement that they wrote it because “we wanted to know more about what we all just lived through.” Please, Jake, give us all a break. You’re one of the people who made us live through it!
Now that the election is over and the Democrats have been sent packing, CNN reports that the “deeply sourced” dynamic writing duo can say there was indeed a “cover-up” of Biden’s “serious decline.” WHAT?? Stop the presses!
Wednesday marked the publisher’s official announcement of the book, with Penguin Press saying this in their press release: “What you will learn makes President Biden’s decision to run for re-election seem shockingly narcissistic, self-delusional and reckless --- a desperate bet that went bust --- and part of a larger act of extended public deception that has few precedents.”
The publisher conveniently leaves out the part about one of the book’s co-authors participating in that deception.
The press release goes on, saying that Biden, “his family, and his senior aides were so convinced that only he could beat Trump again, they lied to themselves, their allies, and the public about his condition and limitations.” It’s understandable that one’s family members might not face reality, but if Biden’s senior aides believed this, they must have been suffering some form of cognitive decline themselves.
“Tapper and Thompson write in the book that ‘what the world saw at Joe Biden’s one and only debate was not an anomaly --- it was not a cold, it was not someone who was under or overprepared, it was not someone who was just a little tired. It was the natural result of an eighty-one-year-old man whose faculties had been diminishing for years.’”
So, hey, Democrats and media (we repeat ourselves), read this book and find out what the rest of us saw all along, while you were lying to yourselves and to the world.
It gets even worse. From the book: “Biden, his family, and his team let their self-interest and fear of another Trump term justify trying to put at times an addled old man in the Oval Office for four more years.” One could easily say the same of Jake Tapper and CNN.
“What was the extent of it?” the authors ask naively. “Was it a cover-up? Was it a conspiracy? We will let the facts speak for themselves.”
Good grief. If these were real journalists, they would have found and reported the answers to these questions months before the election. Instead, Tapper tried desperately to stifle those questions. Conservative TV hosts were all over this Wednesday night, some of them showing this clip of Tapper furiously schooling Lara Trump about making fun of “stutterers” after she noted Biden was “struggling” with “getting his words out” on the campaign trail, something we all could see.
“I think you were mocking his stutter!” he angrily told her (twice). She told Tapper she had no idea he’d had a problem with stuttering. After her reference to his apparent cognitive decline, he told her (twice), “I think you have absolutely no standing to diagnose someone’s cognitive decline,” repeatedly cutting her off and talking over her before ending the interview.
Note to Tapper: “cognitive decline” is not a diagnosis. It is a symptom of a mental condition that might BE diagnosed by a neurologist as a form of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s or Lewy Body Dementia. None of us needs a medical license to notice and comment on this symptom.
At THE FEDERALIST, Mollie Hemingway’s reaction to Tapper’s shall-we-say tardy recognition of Biden’s (yes) COGNITIVE DECLINE was very much like ours, though she expressed it in stronger terms on X:
“The mother bleeping AUDACITY of you to do this after running 24-7 interference on behalf of him and mocking and attacking every single person who noticed Biden’s decline. The MOTHER. BUH-LEEP-ING. AUDACITY. Have you no decency? Have you no shame?”
(Answer: No, and no.)
And this from Sean Davis, also at THE FEDERALIST:
“Tapper could’ve outed the Biden mental incapacity cover-up at any time over the last four years. But he didn’t. He waited until Biden was gone before trying to get rich for disclosing facts he claimed were lies the whole time Biden was in office.”
It should be noted that by the term “original sin,” they’re not referring to their own cover-up but to Biden’s own decision to run again. (Are they still assuming he was of sound mind?) “The decision to run again,” they wrote, “the Original Sin of this president, led to a campaign of denial and gaslighting, leading directly to Donald Trump’s return to power and all that has happened as a consequence.”
To that we would say that at least the story has a happy ending.
On Wednesday night, Jesse Watters likened Tapper writing this book to O.J. Simpson writing (IF) I DID IT. Good one!
A little later, Sean Hannity pointed out that Biden had gone 11 straight months without a single Cabinet meeting. Then, when he did have one, he brought in wife Jill, not just as a spectator but to sit at the head of the table and essentially run the show. Video from that event shows a clearly diminished President, not even alert, someone barely functioning --- and that’s with a very lax definition of “functioning.”
Recall that son Hunter was sticking weirdly close to his father as well. Jake Tapper, at that time, was pretending along with the rest of the media (except conservative media) that Ol’ Joe was fine.
Guest Joe Concha likened Tapper writing this book to “Hannibal Lecter writing one on the dangers of cannibalism” and called him “a cheesy performance artist.” Concha pointed out that his own 2022 book did address Biden’s cognitive issues…
https://www.amazon.com/Come-Man-Terrible-Horrible-Presidency/dp/0063276127
Here’s Hannity’s segment, which goes on to talk briefly about what was actually HAPPENING during Trump’s first Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, showing what can be accomplished when we have a President who is actually conscious.
https://www.foxnews.com/video/6369374366112
Recall also that CNN tried to dismiss videos from last year clearly showing Biden’s serious decline, calling them “cheap fakes.” They should’ve been looking in the mirror when they used those words.

The Pentagons bold decision on revoking trans in the military is right on. The government should not be concerned with individuals who are confused with their sexuality. All service branches enlistments are up. Bravo.
