Read this article tonight, "Trump puts higher education on notice for 'dangerous, demeaning, and immoral' DEI teachings" where Trump is using financial leverage to right the DEI wrongs that educational institutions are teaching. I must admit is have mixed feelings about this one. 1) I think the government should be out of the financial business with respect to education. 2) By this I mean endowments, subsidies of any sort, student loan programs, all of it. 3) I think this divorce should cover education from K thru graduate levels. This may influence the government's ability to "dictate" content but does nothing to hinder them from enforcing the law against DEI implementation. Teaching it and actually practicing it are distinctly different things. Finally, this would not prevent the government from outsourcing appropriately to an educational institution, but these funds would be closely monitored and used only for the purpose at hand.

Regarding the last item in the Edition about the Jan6 prisoners who have been pardoned but not released. Sending the families to the jail with a copy of the pardon is not the answer. How about a band of FBI or a military squad showing up and escorting them out and at the same time arresting everyone who was standing in the way of their immediate release. THIS is the kind of nonsense and blatant disregard for the law that needs to be squashed, and it will only happen when the guilty people are put in jail. As I said earlier the same is true for the "sanctuary" problem. The very first time an ICE official was denied prior notification of release or access to an illegal immigrant for whom they had a warrant arrest should have occurred. The fact that they did not was immediate evidence that the Biden administration was acting outside the law, don't repeat the same.

Could someone please enlighten me about the high priestess at the prayer service? Who is in charge of orchestrating this event? I would have thought that Trump’s Inaugural team would have known better. If they didn’t, something is very wrong. Heads should roll for this one. What an embarrassment for that church but kudos to the President for respecting a house of worship which is more than I can say for the “priestess”.

Regarding the executive order and the Edition comments on remote work, I don't believe we should equivocate on this matter. No one is as productive or properly managed while working at home as on site. This entire concept is a fallout of a democrat sponsored and driven COVID attack on not just the US but the world. There is no excuse for this practice and the cost or pollution of going to and from work is the responsibility of the employee by their decision where to live, not the responsibility of the employer. This problem can be solved quickly, do not try and complicate. It has been suggested that some remote workers might decide returning to the office is too much trouble and resign and that this could be a problem. I suspect that anyone who makes this decision is expendable but at the worse allows management to assess their real needs and hire accordingly, a win-win for the good guys.

As I mentioned earlier, I take the Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove memo to mean that every governor, mayor, and every state legislator or city council member who voted to make their jurisdiction a "sanctuary" and has not immediately rescinded that action will soon be under investigation and charge with "something". Whether this rises to the level of insurrection or simply obstruction of justice they need to be held accountable. It does not matter that the Biden administration was also guilty of the same crime and therefore allowed this to go on for four years, it is now and was then illegal. The only difference I see is if they immediately rescind could impact the consequences of their illegal act.

Americans wanted a change from the Democrats leadership. That’s why we voted for Trump period .

Why can’t the federal government give notice and lay off obsolete workers? I worked for a major phone company for decades and as priorities and technologies changed thousands were given notice.

Trump was voted into office by the American people by a landslide slide . That means all Americans are good with his choices he’s make now . The Democrats are still trying to run the nation with their corrupted choices like when Joe Biden was president. Americans do not anymore of the Democrat administrations bull crap .

Thank you Gov. Huckabee! It was great to have you as our Governor when we lived in Arkansas. It is so great to hear your take on the daily events. I rely on your info to keep me sane. I believe the media are not going to be able to keep up with the speed of President Trump and I believe the leaders in Congress and the soon to be cabinet understand the urgency. All gloves are off. The mission is clear and the enemy is Satan!

Mike, excellent articles! Pres Trump is working at break neck speed! Where does he get the energy? As far as the National Day of Prayer, Bill Donahue, Pres of the Catholic League, wrote an excellent, fact based rebuttal letter to Rev. Budde. I hope you check it out.

The Dems should be writing for The Babylon Bee. They are making themselves look more ridiculous all the time. Senate MINORITY leader complained that after Trump's first day in office, he hadn't fulfilled his campaign promises. Schumer said that grocery prices and egg prices haven't come down. What a maroon!

BTW, Schumer's remartks on President Trump's first day in office were quire similar to what he said EIGHT YEARS AGO after Trump's first day of his first presidency. https://www.democrats.senate.gov/schumer-floor-remarks-on-president-trumps-unfulfilled-day-one-promises

Sour grapes, expecting miracles on the first day?
