To all the Mom's here hurting. My Mom suffered the pain of seeing her only son wrapped in his addiction. She never gave up praying for me. So many years of pain..... it still hurts my heart today. But it worked. Seeing yall praying for your children reminds me so much of my Mom's never ending love. She never changed the standard that she expected from me and never stopped loving me. She is gone now but she still gives me strength to carry on. Never give up!

Mike H… you publish a lot about Samaritan’s Purse, so I wish you would endorse the Baptist Disaster Relief as vigorously.

Here is one urgent prayer request from early Oct. The Arkansas DR worker is home recovering now, but it will be a long while before he can get back to work:

Urgent DR prayer request

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Valdosta, Georgia, an accident occurred involving Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief (ABDR) volunteer Kenneth Winford. A tree kicked back and caused him to be pinned between the tree and a house. After sustaining a severe injury to his leg, he was airlifted to a nearby hospital where he was taken almost immediately to surgery. The surgery was considered a success; however, he has a long, hard journey ahead.

His wife, Marie, is traveling to Georgia today to be with him.

After the surgery, ABDR Director Randy Garrett said Kenneth’s first words were to ask the nurse, “Do you go to church?” and “Do you know Jesus?” Kenneth serves with the Central Baptist Jonesboro Disaster Relief Unit.

Please keep Kenneth and his family in your prayers and continue to pray for those impacted by Hurricane Helene as they navigate the days ahead and for all Disaster Relief volunteers.

Some of these prayer requests have been on here more than a year.. is there no movement or answers for them? Also there are repeats in the same day’s message from the same persons?? Maybe editing these would be a good idea?
