Trump wants real news coverage instead of hoaxes and lunacy
If President Trump wants to bring more media outlets into the White House, maybe it’s not because he wants to slant the coverage, as the liberal outlets claim. Indeed, he takes a lot more questions from all reporters than Obama, Biden or even himself in his first term…
https://instapundit.com/705336/
Maybe he’s opening up the questioning to more outlets because he’d like the public to hear real news instead of hoaxes and lunacy. If you compare what the liberal outlets are saying to conservative media, or even just observable reality, you can see how far the two have diverged.
For instance, Scott Jennings, the lone voice of sanity on CNN, recently had to school an entire panel of baying leftist loons who claimed that Trump was shredding the Constitution by exercising legitimate presidential powers, such as giving orders to the military. Jennings had to inform them that the Constitution makes the President Commander-in-Chief of the military.
Meanwhile, that veritable fountain of anti-Trump hoaxes “The View” suggested that Elon Musk was a supporter of his native South Africa’s former racist apartheid regime. Joy Behar was later forced to issue a retraction, admitting that she didn’t “really know” that Musk ever supported apartheid.
If you listen to these hysterical ninnies, you’d think that every move by Trump was an insane, childish blunder that’s going to alienate our allies, destroy the economy and plunge us into World War III. Here’s what actually happened, just in the past couple of days…
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited the White House and in a joint press conference, praised Trump for creating the opportunity to end the Russia-Ukraine war. He also insisted that the “special relationship” between the US and UK was stronger than ever, and he delivered a personal invitation to Trump from King Charles to visit him in Great Britain.
Trump said Mexico and Canada hadn’t done enough to increase security and he was going ahead with his threatened tariffs. Mexico almost immediately extradited 29 criminals wanted by the US, including a notorious drug lord wanted for the killing of an American DEA agent.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said his talks with leaders across the Middle East showed him that the world has been dying for Trump’s kind of leadership, and there’s “strong desire” to expand Trump’s historic Abraham Accords and craft peace and trade deals between more Arab nations and Israel.
If these are examples of how Trump is “blundering” everything, we can only wish that Biden had been capable of blundering that effectively.
NSA cost-savings
With her first duty as NSA Director being to fire a rats’ nest of sexual perverts and insurrectionists, Tulsi Gabbard revealed that this was actually a long-standing problem. Gabbard said whistleblowers have informed her that they told the Biden Administration that staffers were using the government communications platform for inappropriate, unprofessional and sexually explicit chatter. She said, “And they were essentially told, ‘This is no issue, step aside.’”
Gabbard also noted that by getting rid of the Biden era DEI center imposed on the NSA, they immediately saved taxpayers nearly $20 million. Not to mention the salaries of the useless pervert employees who were fired, but that might be offset by the cost of having their computers disinfected and their offices fumigated.
Democrats question Elon’s loyalty
The Democrats finally found an immigrant they don’t like, and of course, he’s a legal immigrant: Elon Musk.
A number of Dems are attacking Musk by questioning his loyalty to America because he’s…trying to make the American government more efficient and save the USA from bankruptcy? Yep, sounds like a foreign enemy, all right. But longtime Democrat Rep. Marcy Kaptur even disturbed some other Democrats with her blatantly “nativist” attack on Musk.
Kaptur ranted, "I always ask myself, with the damage he's doing here, when push comes to shove, which country is he loyal to? South Africa? Canada? Or the United States. And I'll say it again, he's only been a citizen [for] 22 years."
Questioning the loyalty and patriotism of immigrants, especially those who’ve been American citizens for over two decades, used to be considered xenophobia by Democrats. In fact, in 2019, they passed a House resolution condemning Trump for his alleged xenophobia. It read, "Immigrants and their descendants have made America stronger and naturalized citizens are just as American as those whose families have been in the United States for generations." Among the backers of that resolution: Rep. Marcy Kaptur.
Or was that another bill that Democrats signed on to without reading it first?
Gross mismanagement
A state audit requested by Republican legislators in Illinois found that since 2020, providing healthcare for illegal immigrants has cost Illinois taxpayers $1.6 billion. That’s more than double the cost estimates for the program from Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s administration. The state Senate Republican leader blamed overspending and Pritzker’s “gross mismanagement.”
Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that he’s launching a new podcast called “This is Gavin Newsom.” He even wants to interview MAGA leaders to make it bipartisan.
But that’s not likely to make Californians forget the boneheaded government decisions that led to the devastating wildfires, or the state’s hopeless response to helping the victims. Mel Gibson announced that he’s joined a new effort to recall Newsom, and blamed him for the “gross mismanagement” of the Los Angeles fires.
Question: Is it merely coincidence that we have two stories on the same day, both involving prominent blue state Governors, and both include the phrase “gross mismanagement”?
“America’s worst mayor?”
Scandal-ridden Dolton, Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyard, who made national headlines as “America’s worst mayor,” lost the Democratic primary to challenger Jason House by a stunning 87.9-12.1% landslide.
While that is truly impressive, can we really call her “America’s worst mayor” when Chicago’s illegal alien-welcoming, criminal-coddling, Democratic socialist Mayor Brandon Johnson has just achieved an all-time low favorability rating of 6.6%? Urinary tract infections are more popular than that.

Must-See Chart:
Issues and Insights reminds us that in his first press conference in March of 2021, President Biden brushed off the huge surge of illegal immigration by claiming it was just the typical, seasonal surge that always happened in January and had nothing to do with him reversing Trump’s border security policies. I&I also created a chart comparing the levels of illegal immigration in January before, during and after his term. See if you can spot any difference between Biden’s typical Januarys and other Presidents’ Januarys.

Sneaks, shredders and saboteurs: your FBI is apparently hard at work
So, what if you worked at the FBI and you got a memo from DOGE asking for five things you did this week? Depending on what office of the FBI you were working at, one of your bullet points might have looked something like this:
--- Destroyed evidence of wrongdoing that still existed on servers.
This is according to investigative reporter Michael Shellenberger (primo source), who’s had it confirmed by FBI whistleblower Garrett O’Boyle that this is currently going on at the Bureau. O’Boyle, identified by name from his previous congressional testimony about Biden’s weaponized FBI, told Shellenberger that he’s also informed Director Kash Patel of the evidence destruction. It’s in a post from Shellenberger on X from Thursday…
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2025/02/the_fbi_hides_evidence_of_being_the_fbi.html
As Mike McDaniel at AMERICAN THINKER writes, “Journalist Michael Shellenberger has exposed so much corruption over the past several years, we’ve learned that when he drops a bomb in Twitter, it’s usually worth paying attention to and it is usually HUGE.” (Examples: the Twitter Files, the USAID slush fund.)
“This [FBI] news is early in development,” McDaniel says, “and [Shellenberger] has written only briefly about it so far, but it sounds like he --- and a noted FBI whistleblower --- have some interesting and incriminating things to say to Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino.”
Shellenberger posted about this after a conversation between Charlie Kirk and Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna about corruption at the CIA and NSA. (You already know the sick story about the abuse of the NSA’s internal message system to create a secret chatroom for discussions of sexual kinks and trans surgery.) Rep. Luna had posted, “There is a massive war happening in the intelligence agencies right now. The corruption being exposed right now is actual treason…”
One observation from McDaniel particularly echoed our report this week about CNN’s story on possible treason by disgruntled intel employees: “The FBI is a primary agency charged with defending national security, and our enemies offer many temptations for those willing to betray America beyond the perks and power of being an American Stasi.”
If the FBI is infected by people like this, McDaniel says, “only massive arrests and prosecutions of every one of those who have betrayed American can have any hope of deterring future offenses.” Thankfully, AG Bondi does seem up for that. She has already had enough.
Those FBI officials know --- better than most people, in fact --- that someone who destroys evidence of a crime becomes an accessory to that crime. This can also lead to charges of conspiracy, if they were even just communicating with others about doing this, and even, yes, treason.
Shellenberger added that he hoped Patel, Bondi, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Elon Musk and Rep. Luna are stopping this. “We urgently need disclosure,” he said, adding that he hoped Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem “are alert to any insider threats that could be destroying evidence that belongs to the American people. Don’t let abusers of power cover up their tracks!”
Speaking of the FBI withholding and destroying evidence, the Epstein files that were supposed to be released on Thursday turned out to be heavily-redacted documents that had mostly already leaked. AG Bondi finally wrote a letter to Director Patel expressing frustration with the Southern District of New York field office over their stunning lack of cooperation. As BLAZE MEDIA reports, Bondi told Patel that the FBI has buried “thousands” of files, refusing to turn them over to the Trump administration.
“Before you came into office,” she wrote to Patel on Thursday, “I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein.” What she got back from the FBI, she said, was only about 200 pages of documents, primarily “flight logs, Epstein’s list of contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers” (a list that, of course, will NOT be released). In a post on X, Rep. Luna expressed “complete disappointment” with this initial release of information, but surely, she isn’t surprised. Still, she made herself clear: “GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”
The FBI had assured Bondi that this was all they had, she told Patel. But then a source informed her that there is much more. Once she (or Patel?) informed the New York office that she knew of these files’ existence, they finally agreed to hand them over by 8AM Friday.
https://www.theblaze.com/news/fbi-in-new-york-buried-thousands-of-pages-of-epstein-secrets-ag-bondi
(However, their public release may still be held up indefinitely, due to Epstein accomplice Ghislane Maxwell’s appeal of her conviction to the Supreme Court.)
Patel posted on X that this is “a new era” for the FBI, “...one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned --- and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued. If there are gaps, we will find them; if there are records, we will uncover them. And we will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be. The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise.”
What a shame that some at the FBI are apparently fighting tooth-and-nail against this. It occurs to us that Patel’s approach is well summarized by incoming Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino’s expression, “Cutesy time is over.”
As for the names that turn up on flight logs, etc., please keep in mind that this is not any evidence of wrongdoing. Even President Trump’s name appears in Epstein’s contact list, and that should surprise no one because it’s already been mentioned in court documents. In itself, it means nothing. Some in Epstein’s contact list are quite benign; think Chris Cuomo’s wife and Morgan Fairchild.
Reporters say to keep expectations low, as there’s probably not going to be much that’s shocking or even new in the Epstein files. But the content of the files isn’t the point of this story. The important thing right now is that FBI officials have been given a wake-up call. When Trump’s AG, or their own director, instructs them to turn over information, they had better do it and FAST. Trump is the President. If they undermine his administration, they are out. If they destroy evidence, they are criminally prosecuted.
And if they think they’ve already managed to destroy incriminating electronic communications, that might be something else Musk’s people can help the Trump administration with. It might be quite surprising what his computer geniuses can dig up, BleachBit or no.
The story on Epstein’s files has repeatedly changed this week, and by the time you read this, it probably will have changed again. So expect a full report on Monday, after we’ve had the chance to sort it all out.
For now, here’s Sean Hannity’s discussion with FOX NEWS analyst Gregg Jarrett and civil rights criminal defense attorney David Schoen (who represented Epstein shortly before he died). Jarrett says the FBI’s defiance of Bondi’s order to turn over documents, and even lying to her about their existence, “could be criminal.” He advises those involved that they’d “better be on the phone tonight, to good criminal defense attorneys, because willfully concealing documents from the attorney general, misrepresenting the truth, looks very much like obstruction of a federal agency...So lawyer-up, boys and girls.” Don’t miss...

For the warm spell!
Much of the nation is enjoying an unseasonable warm spell, so for a Saturday nostalgia trip, let’s revisit a favorite “Huckabee” musical guest with the 70’s sunshine sounds of Pablo Cruise…
Oscar Notes and A Sign for Disney
By “Huckabee” pop culture guru Pat Reeder (http://www.hollywoodhifi.com)
Sunday night, ABC and Hulu will air the Academy Awards. Even as a lifelong movie buff, I’ve so lost interest in this that I haven’t watched for at least five years (who cares that “Moonlight” or “The Shape of Water” won Best Picture? – Look them up on Wikipedia.) But it might be worth tuning in this year for three reasons:
1. Jimmy Kimmel is out, and Conan O’Brien is hosting, so it might be funny again. Plus no crying because Trump is President, at least not from the host.
2. There’s supposed to be a musical tribute to Quincy Jones that might be pretty good.
3. I’m curious to see how badly “Emilia Perez” crashes and burns. That thing got 13 nominations, tied with “Mary Poppins” and “Gone With The Wind.” It even got the first Best Actress nomination for a “trans” actor. Its Mexican transgender storyline must’ve made it seem like the perfect way for Hollywood liberals to "stick it to Trump" after his election win back in November. But since then, support has imploded: critics named it one of the worst films of the year, it currently has a Rotten Tomatoes audience rating of 16%, and the lead actress was discovered to have posted a lot of MAGA-like tweets when (s)he was a dude. It will be interesting to see whether it makes history by becoming the first movie to score 13 nominations and not win Jack. Or Jill.
On another topic, there have been thousands of articles about the decline of Disney movies. But this story might make that clear better than all of them.
During a movie showing at a theater in Wenatchee, Washington, the ceiling suddenly collapsed and fell on the audience. Fortunately, nobody was injured. That’s because they were showing the new Disney/Marvel movie “Captain America: Brave New World,” and there were only two people in the theater.
Could it be this has been Disney’s strategy for the past five years or so: Make movies so bad that if the theaters collapse, nobody will be injured - because they're empty? They don’t care about the Oscars, they’re going for a public safety award!

Thank you for reading our newsletter.
I saw a news segment where the reporter was lamenting the USAID cuts saying programs that have been providing aid FOR DECADES to groups would be devastating. Aid is meant to be temporary - anything that has been going on for decades has morphed into an entitlement - something that is reserved for US citizens - not the whole world. Keep up the good work, DOGE!
Zelensky shows up like a street hustler looking for another handout. President Trump and Vice President Vance put this grifter in his place for totally disrespecting the president and the United States. He was sent home with his tail between his legs. Totally forgetting Biden wasn't president anymore. Let Ukraine fend for itself. This country has a host of challenges left by the incompetent termite who was thrown out by his own party. So much for loyalty.
