The Longest Day of the Year
Happy Summer Solstice! Today is called the longest day of the year because it’s the day when there is the longest period of daylight and the shortest nighttime. It’s interesting that it also falls during Pride Month, which already feels like the longest month of the year, and it’s only three-fourths over.
I hate to spoil your Solstice celebrations, but I have to inform you that the human race is doomed. As of today, there is officially nothing we can do to prevent the global climate genocide. I know this because the world’s leading expert on climate science, Greta Thunberg, wrote a tweet reading: “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”
That tweet was sent on June 21, 2018…exactly five years ago today. And we’re still using fossil fuels.

Greta tried to warn us, but now it’s too late. So long, humanity. It’s been good to know you…
The search continues
At this writing, the search continues for the missing tourist sub that disappeared on a trip to the wreckage of the Titanic with five people on board. It’s estimated that they have less than 24 hours’ worth of air left. I hope you will keep them in your prayers and that they will be rescued. Fox News has a page with live updates on the search here:
https://www.foxnews.com/live-news/missing-oceangate-titanic-tourist-submarine-search-is-underway
To give you an idea of how dangerous that sub trip is, and that the passengers knew the risks, here’s an article about someone who took it previously. He says they make you sign a long waiver that has the word “death” three times on page one.

The most shocking undercover video expose yet
Much of the media will probably ignore this story (“Nothing to see here, oh look, TRUMP!”), but James O’Keefe’s OMG (O’Keefe Media Group) has its most shocking undercover video expose yet.
It allegedly shows Serge Varlay, a recruiter for the giant investment firm Blackrock, explaining how they “decide people’s fates.” He says Blackrock doesn’t want to be on the news or on anyone’s radar because “it’s easier to do things when people aren’t thinking about it.” And what are they doing behind the curtain?
He claims that hedge funds, big banks and Blackrock (which controls assets of $20 trillion) “run the world.” He said they have the campaign financing system in place and they buy the candidates. He claims senators are “(Bleeping) cheap. You got ten grand? You can buy a senator.” He said it’s not who the President is, it’s who’s controlling the President’s wallet (sound familiar? This is why I liked having a rich businessman President who financed his own campaign.)
He also talks about how firms like Blackrock control governments and corporations, and in a stunningly cynical comment, describes how war is good for them. For example, if Russia destroys wheat silos in Ukraine, the cost of bread goes up and “this is fantastic if you’re trading. Volatility creates opportunity to make a profit. War is real (Bleeping) good for business.”
This is a must-watch, if you thought your opinion of your fellow man (or of Blackrock) couldn’t possibly get any lower.
Two of Biden’s favorite topics
If there are two things Joe Biden likes to talk about even more than ice cream, it’s racism and gun control laws. He’s always going on about how the former is everywhere, but there’s just not enough of the latter. And he and other Democrats will bend your ear for hours about the “systemically racist” justice system and the racial inequity of sentencing.
Yeah, funny they should mention that, because they just gave us the most glaring example in history, when a well-connected white dude named Biden pleaded guilty to deliberately failing to pay his income taxes (twice) and lying on a background check about not being a drug addict so he could obtain a gun. For that, he got a tap on the wrist, a pat on the head and no jail time. But what if he’d been black and not named Biden? How would that have gone down?
No need to wonder because we know. Bradford Cohen, the attorney for Grammy-nominated black rapper Kodak Black, said his client was accused of the same thing (giving an incorrect Social Security number on a background check form to obtain a gun even though he had a criminal record), and he was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison. Ironically, he got out a bit early when he was pardoned by that eeeeevil raaaacist, President Trump.
Cohen said in 26 years of practicing law, he’s never seen a tax evasion and illegal weapons case that didn’t come with a prison sentence. He also quoted a federal prosecutor who has prosecuted hundreds of similar cases and says pre-trial diversion on those charges is “unheard of. It NEVER happens.”
Now, imagine if a black drug addict lied on a background check to illegally obtain a gun, then it later ended up in a trash can where anyone might have found it and used it to commit murder (fortunately, it was found by someone looking for recyclables, who turned it in to authorities.) Here’s how maturely Hunter handled that situation.
https://nypost.com/2022/06/15/hunter-biden-raged-at-hallie-after-she-trashed-his-gun-report/
As Kodak Black proved, being famous doesn’t insulate you. You could also ask Wesley Snipes, the black actor who was fined $5 million and sentenced to three years in prison in 2008 for failing to pay his taxes. USA Today noted that many conservatives are bringing up Snipes. They tried to turn it into a “Republicans pounce” story, but I notice that the writer couldn’t even come up with a feeble excuse for why there’s any difference between the cases other than Snipes is black and not named “Biden.”
I can also imagine how much ice it would cut with a judge if a black defendant tried the sympathy excuse that he was a drunk or a drug addict to get off. But that’s what some Democrats are trying with Hunter.

So can we all agree that the next time Joe Biden tries to lecture us about how we need more background checks for gun purchases and stricter enforcement, the appropriate response will be to laugh in his face?
Major Blow
A federal judge in Texas issued a major blow to President Biden’s attempt to inject “diversity, equity and inclusion” (i.e., race-based hiring) into the federal bureaucracy. He ruled that Biden’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is unconstitutional as structured because it is designed to aid only certain preferred ethnic groups and not whites or even non-white ethnic groups that aren’t in the preferred circle. The judge reminded Biden that "the Constitution demands equal treatment under law." Maybe Trump should remind him of that, too.

Protect us, please
We all know how much the Biden Administration cares about “science” and protecting us all from “dangerous misinformation.” So I assume they will side with the group Protect the People’s Trust (PPT), which filed a complaint with the State Department and the White House about “climate czar” John Kerry’s alarmist and scientifically-unsupported claims about climate change. They include his recent claim that 15 million people are killed every year due to greenhouse gas emissions, a claim for which there is no scientific evidence.
PPT’s director said, “There are few more perilous breaches of scientific integrity than for public officials to convey inaccurate data to the public knowingly or recklessly, especially when it is done to justify politically motivated decisions or agendas. Simply put, hysteria, hyperbole, and misrepresentation of data have no place in our government’s official pronouncements. The American public’s trust in its government has plunged to depths never before seen and is unlikely ever to recover if we have powerful officials throwing out numbers unsupported by evidence.”
I couldn’t agree more, and neither could the 20 million people who are killed every year by the fumes emitted from private jets carrying John Kerry to climate change conferences.
Who cares more?
Nobody “cares” more about racism than liberal Democrats. Of course, there’s no place worse for black people to live than states or cities run by liberal Democrats, but that’s a small price to pay for knowing that the people who are making your life so miserable truly care about you. That’s something that black residents of deep-blue Illinois need to tell themselves as they read this story about Illinois ranking 50th in economic racial equality in a study by WalletHub.com.
Factors in the study included unemployment rates, percentages of management positions held by blacks, and average personal wealth. Illinois edged out several other blue states for the dubious honor.
https://wallethub.com/edu/state-economies-with-most-racial-equality/75810
The red state of Alaska ranked #1 in economic racial equality, and the two states Democrats love to attack most, Florida and Texas, ranked 11th and 12th respectively. Uber-liberal California ranked 27th, and New York was 40th.
The good news for Illinois: 50th wasn’t dead last. Washington, DC, came in 51st, but didn’t technically count since it’s not a state. But it really wants to be one, and now we know what kind of state it would be.
A hat tip to YouTuber Adam Post for bringing attention to this:
It’s about both the collapse of Target’s market value and the flashing neon signs that their CEO Brian Cornell has no intention of stepping aside or even easing off on the rainbow wokeness throttle until he crashes the retail chain like a kamikaze pilot. If you don’t have time for the full video, which is recommended, you can find much of the content in this article by Jerry Bowyer at wng.org.
https://wng.org/opinions/target-has-nowhere-to-hide-1687173111
It explains that not only is Target not ditching the CEO who insisted that “woke capitalism” is good for business just days before its in-your-face “Pride Month trans gear for kids/Satanic T-shirts” wiped nearly $16 billion off its stock value, but he’s now cemented into the driver’s seat with no restraints and no brakes. Cornell is both the CEO and board chairman, in effect making him his own boss. He’s also decided that the 65-year retirement age will not apply to him. And a stockholders’ vote to separate him from the board chairman position failed. They held a live meeting in ultra-liberal Austin instead of an online meeting because conservatives, who have jobs and families, are more likely to attend online meetings. The article explains that this is known as a “foxhole” meeting because they were trying to pass their agenda while hiding out from most of their stockholders.
This is bad news both for former Target shoppers and current Target stockholders. But this video/article is also worth checking out for lots of other interesting info. One thing I found fascinating were the comments by a marketing expert who explained why Bud Light and Target are being hurt so badly when previous attempts to get conservatives to boycott something failed. The rationale is that boycotts are top-down efforts that are hard to organize and get people to comply with.
But Bud Light and Target aren’t really suffering from a boycott. They engaged in actions that were meant to appeal to a tiny niche of extremists but which revolted their customer base. While a lot of people online were calling for a boycott, that wasn’t even necessary. What they’re suffering now is called “brand revulsion.” They’ve made the very name of their store/product toxic with their core customers. That’s a lot harder to recover from than an organized boycott that can be called off or peter out or undermined with a big sale.
And now, Target’s made it clear that the man who caused it will remain fully in charge for the foreseeable future. Which means Target may be in for a very bad future they should’ve foreseen.
Related: That video also quotes a trans Reddit user who questions why Target is carrying rainbow shirts that proudly declare the wearer’s trans status. The writer says he/she is trying to pass and not draw attention to being trans, so what’s the point of that shirt? Target is repelling half of its customers to cater to a tiny fraction of its customers by carrying merchandise that even the tiny fraction of customers don’t want, either. Tell me again why their CEO thinks he deserves that job for life.
Just a reminder, one month ago, President Biden said this about his son Hunter:
“First of all, my son has done nothing wrong. I trust him. I have faith in him. It impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him.”
https://ijr.com/biden-hunter-month-agreed-plead-guilty-federal-charges/
The fact that a corrupt system under his dad is letting him get away with his crimes does not negate the fact that he just pled guilty to three of them. Now, some might say this throws Joe Biden’s judgement into question. You might say it was just a father supporting his prodigal son, but that’s being charitable. Or you could say maybe that he just didn’t know Hunter was guilty because he’s never discussed any of his business deals with him, but that’s being gullible.
