Why the questions about Kamala and January 6?
Question: Why are we just now hearing about where Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was during last year’s Capitol Hill riot?
Although the “Justice” Department long maintained that she was at the Capitol, a curious correction was made in a court filing for one of the January 6 cases: “The government incorrectly stated that Vice President-Elect Harris was present at that particular time. In fact, [she] was not present at that particular time, though she was present earlier that day and was present later that day.”
As reported in POLITICO, a similar correction was made last week during a sentencing hearing for another January 6 defendant. One of the prosecutors said the government had “recently learned” that Harris was not actually inside the Capitol building when rioters entered. It was only after the skirmishes ended and the building was cleared that she returned to cast a vote to certify Biden’s election victory, and her own.

“Recently learned”? How would they not have known where she was? As Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, has pointed out, she had Secret Service protection wherever she went. (I would think that on such a momentous day, that protection would've been on high alert.) The Secret Service keeps logs of everywhere they go, he said; there’s no way Kamala’s location would not have been accounted for.
In other words, this makes no sense.
POLITICO called this an example of “fundamental facts” about the riot –- what they call the “insurrection” –- that “remain murky.” They wanted to know, like us: “where was the Vice President-elect and why did she leave the Capitol?”
Some have said that since her presence inside the Capitol complex would've automatically rendered it a “restricted” area, the assumption that she was there was critical to some of the charges against protesters. But it wouldn't be if Vice President Mike Pence was there. Both Pence and Harris had Secret Service protection, and that means the presence of either of them –- not necessarily both –- would have caused the area to be restricted from public access.
But now that we know Kamala wasn’t there, Pence’s whereabouts need to be nailed down; otherwise, defense attorneys might argue that the Capitol building wasn’t technically “restricted.” Interestingly, prosecutors in one case are trying to get the judge to prevent the defense from asking for details about Pence’s exact location.
The question does remain, of course, how any member of the public walking into the Capitol building through open doors would've KNOWN the building was temporarily restricted. Apparently even some members of the Capitol Police didn’t know, as some doors were unlocked and they waved the Trump supporters right in to look around the Rotunda and take selfies.
Legal experts cited in the POLITICO story didn’t seem to consider this a big deal. We bring it up because it’s unclear –- and a little intriguing –- why the DOJ has been insisting all this time that Kamala was there. The language in these documents is quite detailed but a total inaccuracy, reading like something that was just made up. (I’m not alleging someone made it up, just saying it reads like that.) In a couple of the cases, for Proud Boys Nicholas Ochs and Nicholas DeCarlo, the descriptions referring to Kamala’s whereabouts in the building are identical.
Even now, according to POLITICO, some of the charging documents say she was “temporarily visiting” the Capitol building when defendants breached security lines or disrupted business. That phrasing is right out of the code that designates when a building is restricted.
Charging documents still carry this mistake even though just days after the attack, some news reports said, accurately, that Kamala had left the building that morning after attending a Senate Intelligence Committee briefing. In mid-January, there were published reports in which Kamala herself said she wasn’t in the building during the riot, though she wouldn’t say more.
The L.A. Times reported on January 16 of last year that she “declined, for security reasons, to say where she was during the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol by a mob of Trump supporters.”
So, next question (actually two): Where WAS she? And why did she go there?
Well, at least now we know where she was. CNN, in a bit of actual reporting, determined that the Vice President was at the DC headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. She arrived at 11:30AM. And to get there, she was driven within a few yards of the pipe bomb that had been placed under a bench near the building the night before, between 7:30 and 8:30PM, by that mysterious person who STILL hasn’t been identified. (He or she placed one at the RNC headquarters as well.) The bomb was discovered while Kamala was inside, and she was evacuated soon after. She was in the building for about two hours.
Before she got there, the Secret Service had swept the building, parking decks and entrances. How they would miss a bomb that close to the building, leaving it to be discovered a while later, I can’t imagine.
Tucker Carlson, on his Thursday night show, asked some interesting questions about this. He wondered why Kamala hadn’t played up the narrative of being at the DNC and coming so close to that insurrectionist bomb! It would have been so dramatic, after all. But she never told that story.
And were those pipe bombs really planted by a Trump supporter? As Columbo would say, “There’s something about this that bothers me...” After all this time, the FBI has still not identified the would-be bomber. With all the time and effort and technology they’ve devoted to tracking down every nice little MAGA-hatted grandmother who attended that rally, you’d think they would’ve found the person wearing those distinctive Nike Air Max sneakers and made quite a show of perp-walking him. But there’s no DNA evidence, no prints, no leads, nothing.
Who thinks Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “Special Committee” will investigate this? Anyone?
The bombs appear to have been placed as a diversion. The first one was discovered just one minute before the first protesters swarmed a police line at the Capitol. Steven Sund, chief of the Capitol Police, said they were meant to draw law enforcement away from the Capitol –- to be found, not to explode. In fact, since they’d been planted 16 or 17 hours before they were found, the old-fashioned “kitchen clock” timing devices could not have been set to go off on January 6. We’re not bomb experts by any means –- so if you happen to be a bomb expert, please correct us –- but our understanding is that those timers could only be set for an hour maximum, and there was no remote detonator.
So the timing of all this raises questions, and we do NOT have the answers. Carlson, along with Dan Bongino, won’t hesitate to ask the same questions, even though anyone who does will be called a conspiracy theorist. Already one report, from the LGBTQ NATION, carries the hilarious headline, “Tucker Carlson insinuates that Kamala Harris planted a pipe bomb near the DNC headquarters.”

Good timing:
President Biden has an itinerary full of crises – the worst inflation in 40 years, the supply chain backup threatened by massive trucker protests against vaccine mandates, Russia possibly set to invade Ukraine as early as next Tuesday (either Putin is now so unafraid of us that he feels safe in announcing his invasion plans a week in advance or somebody in DC needs a war to boost his approval ratings.)
And so, Joe’s picked the perfect moment to take a long weekend off.
Biden is at Camp David, which is in Maryland…in February. Even AOC had enough sense to go to Florida. But that’s the kind of solid judgement and rational decision-making America has come to expect, as proven by a new CNN (!) poll. It showed Biden with a new low 41% approval/58% disapproval rating.
Worse, when those who disapproved were asked to name just one thing he’s done that they approved of, 56% couldn’t. One kind soul tried by saying, “I really like his new cat, Willow Biden.” Astoundingly, 83% of the Democrats in the poll rated Biden’s first year as a “success,” which makes me shudder to imagine what they’d consider a “failure.”
Here’s a suggestion: since Biden’s on a mini-vacation, let the cat act as President. It can’t possibly do a worse job, or take more naps, and it will work for food.
NYC Vaccine Mandate News:
Friday, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected a request for an emergency injunction against New York’s COVID vaccine mandate for teachers and other Education Department staffers who weren’t granted a religious exemption.
The Epoch Time reports that the ruling came “the same day as the deadline for the teachers as well as other New York City public workers, firefighters, and police officers to get their COVID-19 vaccinations. Those who do not have proof of vaccination will likely be fired or put on unpaid leave.”
So, just what New York City needs right now: with the pandemic waning and restrictions being lifted all over, get rid of a lot of their teachers, firefighters and police officers. No wonder New Yorkers keep electing Democrats. They’re so good at prioritizing.

Troll Level:
Trump - Reps. Lauren Boebert and Dan Bishop don’t trust the White House’s word that they would never provide free crack pipes to addicts, so they’ve introduced a bill to ban taxpayer dollars from being used to provide crack pipes, needles and other drug paraphernalia.
Boebert says that since the name “Stop Paying to Subsidize Biden’s Son’s Drug Addiction Act” didn’t scan, they’re just calling it “the HUNTER Act.”
It doesn’t have a chance in Pelosi’s House, but after November, who knows? And if it passes then, would Biden really dare to veto it?

If you only know about her from the vicious things said about her in the liberal media, you might think she was some kind of crazy, wild-eyed moron. You’ll be very surprised to learn what she’s really like, but only if you aren’t familiar with the way the left uses slander and (dare I say it?) misinformation to scare people away from learning firsthand what their political opponents actually say and believe.
Joe Rogan:
I confess, I’m not a listener to Joe Rogan’s podcast. I didn’t even know until recently how popular it was. But from what I’ve gleaned since, it appears that a lot of people who want to silence him also haven’t listened. They’ve just listened to what his critics claim it’s about, which is never a good idea if you care about being fair or accurate. Especially since his critics seem less worried about him actually spreading “misinformation” than about his allowing people they disagree with to exercise free speech.
One of the dirtiest tricks, but typical for the cancel culture mob, was launched when someone released a montage of Rogan saying the “N-word” a number of times. There was the predictable outrage, Rogan apologized, then was warned by conservatives that apologizing is like throwing chum in the water for sharks, so he backtracked on the apology.
Well, now that the “OUTRAGE” has cooled down a little, we’re learning more about that tape, and as I suspected, it is not what it was painted to be. Rogan’s show is not a platform for Klansmen to spout the N-word. It turns out that the montage was created by a group aligned with a Democrat PAC. They searched through who knows how many old shows from how far back, looking for any instance of the word’s use, then lifted them totally out of context. The full original clips showed that Rogan wasn’t using that racial slur against people. He was saying it when quoting others during discussions of racism, or in some cases, when quoting a Richard Pryor album title in a discussion of comedy.

They’ve done it so many times and become so blatant about it that I think it might finally be losing its potency, like the boy who cried wolf too many times. There even seems to be growing bipartisan agreement on that. Charles quotes John McWhorter, a black liberal writer for the New York Times, who also sees the soft bigotry of low expectations in liberals thinking that black people aren’t capable of understanding the difference between using a racial epithet and citing one, or that they’re so fragile that their day will be ruined just by hearing a word, even if the context makes it clear that it’s not intended as an insult.
Read the whole thing. You’ll also be interested to see the video of hosts on the leftist Young Turks show that’s been edited just like the Rogan tape to show all the times they used the same word. I’ll let you know when Neil Young demands that the Young Turks be removed from the Internet.
President Biden’s Leadership:
With Democrat politicians around the country suddenly realizing that “the peasants are revolting,” and they’ve way overplayed their hands and are about to get them chopped off at the ballot box, draconian COVID mandates are suddenly being rolled back or dropped entirely. Which makes sense because, just as many physicians predicted, the weaker but more contagious Omicron variant caused a big wave of cases that quickly subsided, leaving millions more Americans with natural immunity.
And who is to thank for that? I’d say God. Some would say biological evolution. But we would all be wrong. According to the talking points that are being repeated on all the friendly “news” channels, COVID case rates are down because of “President Biden’s leadership.”
If you’re baffled as to what that means, join the club. Does that mean the divisive, unconstitutional, career-destroying mandates to take vaccines that proved largely ineffective at stopping the spread of Omicron (although some argue that they lessen the symptoms)? Does it refer to his demonizing of unvaccinated Americans? Was it “leadership” to have a shortage of tests, then when they arrived, many people discovered they were made in China and didn’t work? Or do they think we’ll believe this because we’re all suffering “brain fog” from long COVID?
Speaking of that, despite the Biden Administration’s hostility to any non-FDA-approved efforts to treat COVID, researchers in California report that patients saw their long COVID symptoms almost completely go away after taking daily doses of common, over the counter antihistamines.

And a new study found that an over-the-counter heartburn drug found in Pepcid did have a slight beneficial effect at treating COVID.

I am curious, however, as to how his leadership managed to create the exact same “surge in Omicron cases without a surge in deaths, then quick falloff” that occurred in South Africa? Is he the leader of South Africa, too? No wonder he always seems so tired!

Crime is THIS Bad:
How bad has crime gotten in blue cities under “progressive” DA’s? So bad that even Al Sharpton said something has to be done after discovering that even the toothpaste in a New York drug store was kept under lock and key to keep it from being stolen. He also talked about a person caught on video stealing 10 steaks from a Trader Joe’s.

For daring to speak the obvious, Sharpton was scolded by Nikole Hannah-Jones, creator of the bogus, anti-American “1619 Project.” She said, "This drumbeat for continued mass incarceration is really horrific to watch. A person stealing steak is not national news, and there have always been thefts from stores. This is how you legitimize the carceral state.”
By “carceral state,” she means a state where people who break the law have to go to jail, so she’s obviously not referring to New York State.
That’s easy for Jones to say. Considering her fat profits from sales of her awful book to gullible and guilt-ridden liberals, plus the huge speaking fees she charges, she’s surely making more than enough money to afford a safe home, private security, and to have anything she needs delivered. For everyone else who has to live with the consequences of the racist poison she’s unleashed – including black small business owners who are being driven out of business, black consumers who have fewer and fewer places left in which to shop, and residents of black neighborhoods terrified by gangs and criminals who no longer fear the “carceral state” - it’s a lot harder to ignore.
