Mike Huckabee: Ron DeSantis will get the last laugh
This is my appearance Monday on Newsmax with Eric Bolling, talking about Gov. Ron DeSantis and the ludicrous NAACP “travel advisory” on Florida.
Speaking of that, here’s an update on the NAACP’s pathetic attempt to undermine DeSantis’ presidential ambitions (that’s not me assuming that; they’ve been surprisingly open about their cynical motives) by issuing a “travel advisory” that it would be “dangerous” for black people to visit Florida. (LULAC did the same with Hispanics and Equality Florida issued a travel warning for LGBTQ people.)
In addition to the already-reported fact that the NAACP’s board chairman actually lives in Tampa, critics have been unearthing tweets of other NAACP officials happily vacationing in Orlando and other Florida destinations, CNN’s Sara Sidner committed a surprise act of journalism. She asked NAACP president Derrick Johnson about exit polls showing that DeSantis had the support of a surprisingly high 13% of black voters and 58% of Hispanics. His lame response was to claim you can't believe polls.
Also, stats quickly emerged showing that Florida ranks #2 in the nation for the number of black-owned businesses, and just in the first quarter of this year has hosted a record 38 million tourists, whom I doubt are all white. If the NAACP were honest, it would warn black people not to visit Democrat-run cities like Chicago or Baltimore, which is where their lives really are in danger.
I also talked about this on “Hannity” Monday night, and noted that this sort of mindless branding of every Republican as a violent racist is so worn-out that nobody buys it anymore. They’ve cried “Wolf” so many times that everyone’s ears are sore from hearing it. My advice is to mock them, laugh in their faces and tell them to come up with something new because this same-old-same-old just isn’t working anymore.
My suggestion: if they’re going to groundlessly slander Republicans, accuse us of being cannibals. It’s just as plausible, and it makes us sound cooler.

Yesterday, we brought you the story of former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman saying that Obama, Biden, Hillary Clinton, Brennan, Comey, Clapper and friends had collaborated to frame Donald Trump “right in front of us.” Today, breaking news shockingly builds on this.
Thanks to Dan Bongino for, if not connecting a couple of new dots --- we’d already connected them --- at least taking a bold felt-tip pen and drawing a thick black line unmistakably linking them.
We’ve known for a long time that President Obama was briefed about the Russia Hoax by CIA Director John Brennan in July 2016 (this is now on page 81 of the Durham Report) and was well aware that Hillary had created the fake Trump-Russia “collusion” story to divert attention from her own email scandal ahead of the November election. We’ve also known that Obama was implicated in Hillary’s scandal, as she used her personal, non-secure email account --- which she apparently used to conduct ALL her State Department business, no matter how classified --- to communicate with HIM. It was in Obama’s interest to distract from Hillary’s scandal, too. So he helped her push the Russia Hoax, knowing it was all made up.
Recall that any account used to communicate with Obama on his Blackberry had to be what they call “whitelisted” --- deliberately put on the list of people who could contact him. This is done by the White House Communications Agency at the request of the President. Obama HAD to know she wasn’t communicating to him through an official channel and had set this system up to evade scrutiny, specifically by way of FOIA requests and potential lawsuits. If Sneaky Hillary went down over this serious email scandal, so did he.
Bongino didn’t mention this, but it occurs to us that someone who simply had to know all along about Hillary’s “special” email arrangement was Jake Sullivan. Here are the pertinent highlights from his career bio:
--- Director of policy under President Obama
--- National security adviser to then-Vice President Biden
--- Deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (ding ding ding!)
--- Senior policy adviser to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016
--- National security adviser to President Biden (which he still is)
(Early on, he also worked for Clinton crony Strobe Talbott, then at the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization.)
It seems Sullivan has accompanied Obama, Hillary and Biden throughout their twisted association in DC.
This would explain why Hillary had to be let off the hook for her email scandal. It wasn’t just to protect her, but Obama as well. And at the time, Obama also had his “wingman” Eric Holder in charge of the ‘Justice’ Department, with James Comey heading the FBI. A wall of security.
