Consequences are back
Well, there’s a new sheriff in town, and those days are over.

Over the four looooooong years of whoever was in charge of the Biden White House, the left grew accustomed to the idea that no matter what they did, there would be ZERO consequences. Conservatives and Christians who prayed outside abortion clinics or took a selfie on the Capitol lawn on January 6th would be hounded into prison, but leftists could loot, burn, riot, threaten and assault political opponents, vandalize pro-life pregnancy centers, and in certain blue cities, commit outright crimes on a daily basis, and always walk away with not even a slap on the wrist but more like a kiss on the hand.
Well, there’s a new sheriff in town, and those days are over.
Columbia University failed to do anything about “pro-Palestinian” (actually, pro-terrorist and anti-Israel) protesters who wear masks and threaten and harass Jewish students. So as part of his zero-tolerance program for anti-Semitism on campuses, President Trump has canceled $400 million worth of federal contracts and grants to the university. And warning to other colleges and universities: a number of you are under scrutiny, too.
Before the wailing starts over these poor American students having their freedom of speech curtailed, here’s an example of who’s stirring up these violent, idiotic protests. Mahmoud Khalil is the leader of the radical protest group, Columbia University Apartheid Divest. He’s a Palestinian activist who got his undergrad degree in Beirut. Despite graduating Columbia in December, he was still allowed to live in school-provided housing. That’s where ICE found him when they arrested him for being a foreign student fomenting anti-Semitic riots. He’s just the first such “student” to face possible deportation and having his visa and green card canceled.
Also on the “Consequences Are Back” front: FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the FBI and DOJ have arrested three individuals on treasonous charges of bribery, stealing government defense information and conspiring to provide it to China in betrayal of the US. The arrestees are active-duty soldiers Jian Zhao and Li Tian and former US Army soldier, Ruoyu Duan.
Wait, treason is a crime again? Guess nobody told them.
Some Democrats still haven’t gotten the message that consequences are back. That’s why we’re seeing stories like the pro-Ukrainian protesters threatening the family of VP Vance and frightening his children. (Warning: Bad language from a former CNN correspondent because leftists now think cursing makes them cool again, and it’s all they’ve got)…

There have also been several incidents of Tesla showrooms being vandalized and hit with bullets and Molotov cocktails because some people hate that Elon Musk is trying to prevent waste and fraud in government, so he must be a Nazi. There have been a number of arrests, even in Oregon, where violent acting out by leftists is apparently illegal again.

Musk claims he’s identified five ActBlue-funded groups that are organizing the anti-Tesla “protests.” As we report elsewhere in today’s newsletter, ActBlue is facing enough problems without being suspected of funding violent criminal activities, too.
The shocking part is how many on the left are defending violence as a political tactic. One responded on X to the Tesla vandalism by asking, “What did he (Musk) expect?” We assume he expected he should be able to take a personal political stand without having his businesses vandalized and his employees endangered or be threatened with assassination himself, but apparently, the left disagrees.
Here’s a warning for them from Kurt Schlichter: “Democrats support violence and intimidation to force opponents to submit. Are you positive you want that to be the new rule? Because there will only be one rule.”
